How Stressfull! I Have Heard How RopeFish Are Escape Artists Ecxept

I Could'nt Believe Where I Found Mine A Few Minutes Ago. It Was Feeding Time

and My RopeFish-"Anna" Loves To Hide In The Piano In The Tank. I Had To Chase

her Out Of the Piano so she will come out and Eat. I Went to chase her Out But she

was'nt There. I Checked EVERYWHERE but could not Find her, so the First thing

I Thought was "She's on the Floor"......Well it turns out she was'nt. I Thought

Maybe She was just really good at Hiding so thought nothing of it. I Took out the

filter cartridge so I could clean it and I see a Small head poke OUT of the filter.

Well Anna Is fine except I find it AMAZING how he climbed into the filter through

the spout where the Water Re-enters the tank. This could Potentially Be A Problem

because if Anna did it Once she will probally Do it again. I Thought I would share

lol what a great story try putting a screen of panty hose so the water can go through and back into the tank but the rope fish can't go and explore. Sounds like you have a lively one on your hands.

You can count the little spines on there back, and if it has nine it is female, and any more it is male Onto the topic, I think a1wonder covered it, but if you find the rope on the floor throw it back in. They have the same ability as bettas, to breathe from the surface, and they can live for a couple hours on the floor

Thats a really great idea, panty hose never thought I would find a half decent use

Thanks All......Ha last night I went and checked again and he was once again in the

filter. I Scooped him out and put panty hose over the spout so he could not go

back in and I woke up this morning and he was in there again. I double layered it

and eventually he no longer can get in -does lil dance- Thanks all for your help!

Yes Mr. HOUDINI has not pulled any more escape tricks because I have it totally blocked but the water can still run through, but yeah he's a good fish!
