Err....now I'm Confused

What water should I use to fill my tank with? I read hot water shouldn't be used, instead I should use water from my kettle? What does that mean? Is it wrong if I just fill the bucket from tap water (either hot or cold), dechlorinate it and add to my fish tank? Or this kettle thing...does that mean I have to boil the water and add or something?

Very hot water in copper pipes COULD potentially carry a high level of copper which is not a good thing. I use a python and use both the hot and cold water to get it close to tank temp with no issues. If you make it close to tank temp out of the faucet and dechlor. you will be just fine.

tepid tap water holds the beneficial things that fish need in their water, and is the best thing to use when its been treated ofcourse to eliminate the unwanted
