After the untimely deaths of Kurenai and Tsuki, things have gone a bit bad for the three remaining. The smallest one, Sasame, is constantly picking on Lita and Umi. Lita's fins got caught against the filter intake, and are growing back now, but I'm worried Sasame's constant fighting will stress her out more.
Now I went to my Lfs yesterday to pick up some airline tubing, and of course, I drifted over to the fish section while my sister drooled over the puppies. I saw one stunning blue/purple VT female. I want her. I really, really do. But I'm afraid she might get killed because of my bad luck. If I do get her, it might even out the fighting between my three girls. I would also be saving her from one monster of a brown/red VT female. (I've even picked out possible names for her! I'm such a loser.)
I'm getting 50$ from my mom today (hopefully), and I'm asking the owner of the shop if he can get HMs in. I want to start that Half Sun line I've taken a liking to.
Oh, before I forget. I have a 10i filter by Tetra, and as I've mentioned, my Lita and Umi get caught in the current and get their fins all ripped. I'm thinking of getting a corner filter, but I'm not sure if it'll be better or worse.
What should I do?

Secondly, you can cover the filter intake with some sponge, so that the water can still go in, but the fish cant get sucked into the slotted plastic cover (if it's the kind of intake cover I'm thinking of). For the cover, I'm not exactly sure how you should cover it with the sponge, but as I imagine it you could use a piece of the sponge that they use for sponge filters. Good luck! 
(That makes me happy.) My mom said she'd give me three extra bucks for her (she's a sucker for the color purple) and now I'm definatly getting her. I'm going to name her Mystic.
