would it hurt the fish if more equipment where to be added, eg ( pumps, filters, breathers)???

Not sure what a breather is to be honest, why do you need a pump or extra filter?

More than one filter can be used on a tank as long as your fish don't mind the extra flow that may be produced.

ooooops, i guess its the wrong name.

i was told it is called breather, but anyway it is the pump that produces air bubbles without any kind of water circulation ( sorry for the confusion )

Think you mean an air pump, if so you can add one but if your is moving the water around you most likely don't need to.
