I'm beginning to look into injected CO2 for my 15-gallon tank. I have decent substrate, 2.4wpg, and currently liquid/non-EI fertiliser. I am using a Nutrafin bottle currently, connected to a ceramic diffuser, levels monitored with a permanent test in the tank.

I do find that keeping the levels of CO2 constant is not the easiest thing in the world to do, but injected/pressurised systems cost a fair bit of money in comparison. What systems would people recommend for this size of tank? I don't mind on the bottle type (refillable etc) or brand, but the ability to use a solenoid to turn CO2 off/on with lights would be essential if I go ahead with this. 2nd is certainly an option.

If you've got the CO2 tubing and diffuser all you need is a cylinder and reg. Get the reg from Lunapet. The cylinder is more tricky, have you thought about where you'll be able to refill a cylinder?

Why the need for the solenoid?

Not sure on refilling, I should likely ask the LFS I normally go to and see what they can do.

Source somewhere to get cylinders refilled, that'll dictate what cylinder you get.

Oh, the solenoid would be to turn CO2 on/off automatically with the lights.

I'll say one thing, their products are very very cheap, a full 500g pressurised kit with everything (solenoid, tubing, diffuser etc!) for around £80 delivered! All I am curious on (and need to sort out) is local suppliers of CO2, anyone know more about the bottles? I'd not want to splash out (birthday money I didn't expect :) ) and find I have a setup that works until the bottle runs out!

Can this companys regulators work on disposable cannisters like the D&D one on AE or do they need adaptors and if os do you know where you can then?

I'm also quite interested in this but can't be ar**ed to walk to get a cannister filled. lol when it can be delivered and then chucked.

Also do you just leave yours diffusing all night now? What was the solenoid problem you had?
