:dunno:
I was just wondering if anyone has had good success breeding this species. I would like to know any details about breeding them like the ph, hardness, temp, and underwater surroundings.

also has any one successfuly bred them with guppies, and what did the offspring look like?
would the offspring be different if you used a male guppy/femal endlers and a female guppy/male endler?

thanks!

Yes I have them, they are extremely easy to breed, just like guppies. I wouldn't recommend crossing them with guppies, but yes you'll get all sorts of colours, with the possibility that endlers are extinct in the wild I think it makes sense to preserve any genes which we have in the present endler population in the aquarium hobby rather then get rid of them by hybridisation :)

I have only seen endlers online but from what I have read it seems like the species is extinct in the wild. So hybridization should be kept to the minimum to maintain the species as pure as possible. They are said to be as easy to breed as guppies, which means that breeding will most likely happen without any coaxing from the fish keeper.
