So i've got 14 guppy fry who are over 5weeks old and i have 5 males, 9 females. i was thinking about picking up this really cool looking endler cross male to breed to a couple of the females becuase i didnt want them to be inbred. will i get cooler colors and healthy fish with the endler mix or with my snakeskin males that are the females brothers?

if you select the best 2-3 males to breed back to the your not have a problem with inbreeding.

If you dont mind what colour you get back then go for it, but you may end up with mainly endler looking fish for a few generations.

well i was interested in getting a cool color but i guess id never know what the babies would look like.

well if i were to put the endler male in with the 9 females, would they get pregnant?
they are only 5 weeks and i wasnt sure if that was too early or not

Are they showing the dark spot on their sides? 5 weeks is very young, it's usually closer to 8 or 10 when they can become pregnant, but physical size is a better indicator, they need to be half the size of an adult guppy. The males are fertile as soon as they have a gonopodium.

all the ones ive labeled as females have a gravid spot...they are going to be 6 weeks on saturday...
and they are a bit over a half inch...
the males are bigger than that and showing colors already...mostly yellow snakeskin on their tails but one has a blue dorsal fin
