Like the title says.

It's a complete setup, just add water, cycle and add fish.

What should I do with it? I am looking for something truely different to do with this tank. Maybe Saltwater or brakish? Maybe one species? Maybe a breeding tank? Turtles? Frogs? Monos? Ciclids?

I have my big tropical community tank and it's really all I need but.......

Any suggestions? Just want to see what you guys and girls would do with it.

(Gotta be something special to sell the idea to my wife since that would make 2 tanks in the living room)

i'd go for a group of chocolate gourami, but thats just me :)

I agree with putting angelfish in the hex... that would look really nice. Or a breeding tank always comes in handy.....

Marine sounds ace, but if you cant afford it, go for a planted aquarium with sand and get some angels, ottos and corys. It will look great and the lady will love it :)

Fill it with plants. Cubes/hexes make the nicest planted tanks, but are difficult to light so rectangular tanks are usually more sucessful.

If you already have a community tank, why not check out more species only fish, like cichlids (apistos would fit in there nicely, plus are very colorful) or let your wife pick out a list of fish she would like and that you guys don't already have, then figure out which ones would work for your tank. Then she's involved, and you don't have to get plain old community fish again...

I would have to disagree with the apistos. IME they like a bigger footprint and don't care for height as much as length.

Ya, I believe they stay low.

I would add a bunch of snails too ;) I think Im the only one on here who actually likes snails.

My loaches like snails! Hmmm, my puffers too! I still think the angelfish are the way to go. That's what I would do if I had a hex tank lying around.....all I have is a stupid 55 gallon sitting empty in my basement.

Of course, it doesn't hold water :p It'll be a gecko tank.
