I'ved got a spare 10 gallon "24x12x12" and wondering what i can do with it...

I thought of maybe breeding something, cories sprang to mind, maybe I could try 1 of the more expensive ones to pay for my food bills!!

Maybe 1 of the smaller puffers..??

anything considered...

apart from livebearers!

You could breed some Killifish... Or you could keep and breed some shelldweller cichlids - maybe n. multifasciatus (the smallest and my favourite). There are some gobies you could try too.

I'm liking that idea.

Killis would make an interesting project, i know there's quite a few colours in them.

although i do love the look of shell dwellers.

Thats a bit more than 10g isn't it? More like 12-15. Anyways, I'd say killies would be a good bet if you want to make money, unless you're selling to a fish hobbyist, a rare species of cory isn't any different to, say, a bronze cory. Whereas killies are fairly uncommon, bright colours and can be kept in a smallish tank.

oh 12.5UK and 15USgal.

I'ved decided on making it a nano reef tank, always been interested by SW, so it's going to be cheaper to run and easier to maintain (once running!!)

Nano saltwater tanks tend to be harder to keep because they can crash much faster and are more sensitive to water conditions. The SW forum has a lot more info on that.

I've got a spare 10g (US) myself I'm looking to stock. I'm still trying to decide on what. I don't have any cichlids yet which are about the only major fish group I have yet to keep.

I've thought of doing that myself at some point. Just make sure you read up on it a lot, don't need to get off to a bad start ;)

don't worry, i do plenty of research before i make any rash decisions (researched my lizards for about month before buying!!)

yep i under the implecations of having a smaller tank, I'm going to experiment with drilled it to fit a sump for it though. thich will take the volume up to about 25g's making it alot more stable.

Leaf fish species tank
Badis tank
Small goby tank

Those were the first three tank plans I thought of :p

Whoops, you already made a decision

now a leaf fish would be kewl, but i don't like dedicating tanks to small fish with no personality, they were actually on our suppliers list a while back, anything half descent would be pretty hard to get hold of though.....no change there!!

I say go for the Nano reef, You could have some crabs, shrimps etc and maybe a goby or something small like that...

Be sure to post a full diary if you do go for it...

BTW remember you can make a cheap sump with a large container from Wilkinsons and some normal powerheads + tubing..
