Emporer or aqua clear

Just wondering what you guys prefer as i wll be setting up a new tank soon and would like to know which one is better and why?

I've never used either but I've heard morethings about the emperor - both good and bad . I'd just say try them both but that may cost a little more than you were planning...

You will find both are equally effective, and you will find plenty of people to back up both. In the end you really can't go wrong.
That said, I prefer the Aquaclears because they have more room then other hanging filters for media, they're extremely versatile, they're less expensive, they're virtually free to maintain, they're super quiet, and they filter just as well as the Emps.
