Hi guys

Stumbled across these fellas today whilst doing some browsing in preparation for when I eventually start stocking (after fishless cycling)

Would these be suitable/hardy enough for a beginner? Any bad habits?

What minimum numbers would you suggest they be kept in.Are they are shoaling in nature tetras like Neons,Cardinals etc and therefore need to be kept in larger numbers or would 5/6 suffice. (tank is 180 ltr 92cm long x 41cm wide x 55cm high,PH 6.5,)

From what i remember they were pretty hardy fish, and i would probably get 5 of them. They also like a lot of plants and vegetation.

i have heard that these fish might like the very ocastional nip at a tank mates fin

hrdy fish yes do need to be kep minum of 6. as the males do alot of nipping especially to females.

dont nip other tank mates though

wat u got in tank so far?
