hi guys need a quick response :D

got a large community tank that has the follwing fish

3 guppies
3 mollies
3 swordtails
and 10 tetras
2 kissing gourami

recently 5 tetra all died within a day of each other so i stcked up today and three have died already and im confused to as why, the LFS said the fish im keepin with them are ok to be kept with tetras so a bit confused and i got a feeling all the tetras will die again

if they die again im reluctant tyo spend more money on them but i really like them,. anyone know why they dying so quickly and so close to one another

Are they neon tetras? Tetras are a very large family group of fish that vary alot so more info on what particular type they are is important.
What are your water stats i.e ammonia, nitrates and nitrites? finding these out are vital for tetras.
Is the tank new and still cyling and/or how long have you had setup and running?
How many gallons does it hold?

If you can give us this info it would help alot in finding out what went wrong

Should never add new fish to you have found out why the other died, first off what are your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, how many gallons is the tank, any signs of illness like, fungus, spots, heavy breathing, change of colour, bloated.

yh there neon tetras

dimesions are 100x12x30 but ill get the stats for ya

tank had been cycled for 3 weeks prior to introducing 3 fish at a time with 1 week intervals

That why you have lost them due to cycling, they are very sensitive fish to water quality, should only add them when the tank has matured for six months, i wouldn't get any more till the tank has cycled.
