well my mother had her granddaughter, my neice, out for the day and comes home to my sister with a ten gallon tank, and two small angel fish.

neither me or my sister keep angel fish, we have bettas and small community fish.

what the heck should we do with these things?> tank sizes, food? ugh...this is a major pita.

Tank height is more important than other dimensions. 18 inches tall - smallest standard size I know that meets that is a 29 gallon, but there's a few odd sizes slightly smaller. Food, they'll eat just about anything you'd usually feed a community fish, mine primarily eat tropical flake and blackworm.

They're quite good in community tanks, but neon and cardinal tetras are in danger of getting eaten, really any fish of that size.

ah, so at least a 29 gallon in the long run, we had thought of getting a 20 high eventualy, but our uncles angels are huge, and a 20 high just dosent seem big enough.

my 29 is full of guppys platys and mollys, so that tank may be out, and the other 20s we have are either a 20 plain or a 20 long.

if my sister got a 29 or larger size tank, could she have a few adult female bettas, and perhaps a small plec and some adult corys? none of those would get eaten I asume?

A 20 gallon high is just a little small. I kept 2 Angels in a 20 gallon and had a bit of an agression problem.

The 29 gallon seems okay, but the Guppys might be nipped on. If you move those, you are in the clear.
