i have an emergency!!!! red worm-like growths around top of aquarium and odd smell no matter numerous cleanings!!! plz help!

smells like dead fish but i don't see any. i have seen aquarium website that say to take the fish (out which i did before i even posted this) and pour bleach into aquarium.

i really would not put bleach into a tank unless its going to be well washed out and aired for the next week.

if it smells that bad, why not do a water change? and find whats making the smell?

Sounds like you need to put some chlorine in the tank, you can get it at any pool supply store. It will kill the worms, you just need to drain the tank and put extra conditioner in.

Water changes. Gravel vac, Remove ornaments to gravel vac underneath them.
Replace fresh filter floss and black carbon.
