hi, i have just turned my aquarium light on to find one of my glass catfish to have a big lump/bulge on its head area under/behind its mouth, it looks like its gaspin for air and is at the top of the tank also 1 of its tenticles looks damaged please help :(
also has a little red mark/spot close to its tail

can you post your water stats?
no nitrate kit but ammonia 0 nitrites 0 ph 7.5
no other fish with any symtoms
1 of his barbels is bent and split into 2 at the end, everything was fine last nite hes gone quite a creamy colour which im told is a sign of stress will this spread? am i best putting him out his misery?

Give him a chance yet.

Can you get a picture of him?
i know i dont mean to sound cruel but its better to put one out of its misery than my whole tank catch whatever its got, i carnt get a pic unfortunately but its not shoaling with the others its right at the top of the tank seems to be bloated and just robbed my mums reading glasses to get a better look and it looks like its got a red mark on it.
also when it did go over to the others 1 sort of shoved it and it did a roll and sort of sank to the bottom but its back up top now

Anywhere you can quarantine him?
no unfortunately not, any suggestions on what i can do?
he seems to have like a massive lump like bloated in his throat area
is this common with the glass cats?

Bless Him.
R.I.P.

Water changes for a few days.
Keep an eye on your other fish.

Good luck.
