Emergebcy Spawning...

On of my discus is spawning right now on my fluval intake tube. In the tank have other discus, school of neons, sailfin plec, 3 clown loachs, and 3 sterbai cories. I have a spare 10 gallon with filter/heater... SHould i move the pair with the tube that has the eggs? any advice??? What should i go?

Wow never had discus myself (probably never will either ), but definatly dont move the pair and thier eggs, waqy too much stress.

I guess I'd move the other fish.

discus nowadays are just $20 CDN ea..maybe you will have a chance! hmm i'm just wonderin, does your discus bother the cories at all? and does the plec ever sucks on the discus?

Well since the parents ate the eggs.. its too late. Discus dont even know the cories exist, and vice versa.

Once started they will definately spawn again, so prepare in advance. Best keep them in the tank they are already in and remove everything else and above all do not disturb or stress the fish. Sorry to hear about your first batch. Have a word with John Nicholson on the forum as to breeding Discus.
