Okay, so yesterday I got a beautiful school of ember tetras (six of them, may get more next trip to the store). They are in my twenty gallon tank with my golden australes as dither fish. They are very pretty, and I currently feed them flake food, freeze dried brine shrimp, frozen blood worms and brine shrimp. The tank is in the low 70 degrees Fahrenheit range (Best I can do with this stupid crummy 2nd hand heater, I will buy a new one as soon as I get the money, or maybe tomorrow if I can find a coupon, low on budget money because I spent most of it on these little guys)
Anyway, I want to know how to breed these little guys once they are more at home in my tank. I have a ten gallon breeding tank, that has a very nice heater that can keep it warm enough. The place where I researched says dim lighting is necessary. How dim do they mean? Do I need to block all the beautiful sunlight???
