Which of type-specific threads are Danio's under?

They're egg layers so I can rule one out, fresh water so that rules out marine and brackish but then I tend to run out of things to eliminate...

I can't see a category which I can immediately stick 'em into....

they are a Cyprinid so come under
Cyprinids, Characins and Atherinids
