I’m doing a fishless cycle on my tank and was going to use the remaining cycle time to start planting it up (not huge amounts).
Its 70g with Red Sea Flora Base as my substrate, 1.1Wpg (low light) looking to upgrade soon.
I was going to plant some Dwarf Hairgrass (Eleocharis acicularis) but then came across Dwarf Mini Hairgrass (Eleocharis Parrulus).
I would prefer to use the mini stuff but cant find any specs on it. Can anyone tell me its lighting requirements?

It's pretty easy to grow but you can really give it a boost by providing decent lighting (T5s) and a good substrate (Red Sea Flora Base is superb). 1.1wpg is low so don't expect it to spread very quickly.

As with all plants they need carbon to do well so some sort of C02 will be readily accepted by the parralus. If you want more info on it, have a look at the Tropica site

Thanks, I take it you work Aqua Essentials then. Thats where I bought my Flora base from. Bit pricey £100 for the whole tank but couldn't find any other UK based company that would sell it, very quick delivery.
I have only got my tank filled up half way at the mo so I supose I'm at 2.2WPG so it hould spread a bit before im really to add the fish. Just ordered some should be here on thursday :D
