Electric Yellows And Blues

Hi, anyone out there with Electric Blues? I just wanted to know if the Electric Blues are as peaceful as the Electric Yellows? Because I have some electric yellows and they are pretty calm and non-aggresive, I just wanted to know if Electric Blues are the same? As I wouldnt mind moving the yellows with some blues in a new tank.

Depends on the species of electric blue. There are around 8 species that can be found under the common name electric blue. Can you get the scientific name?

If you didn't know the scientific name for electric yellow it is labidochromis caeruleus.

Also, what size tank to you have, and stocking level.

Im buying a new 4ft tommorrow, at my lfs it just writes "electric blue" should the shop nkow the scientific name if I ask?

Yes the shop should know the scientific name. If they don't know, make sure you can return the fish, if so, go ahead and get. You can post pics on here and we should be able to identify it for you.

Oops, just read you are buying the tank tomorrow, you'll want to cycle it before adding any fish. See if the shop will let you take a picture of it if they don't know the name.
