They do if they aquaria is large enough. trying to find some pics.
Their max size in the wild, never mind large aquaria is 5-6" so yes i would love to see some pics.

And also some pics of this:-

My tank with them is 28' with around 300 adualt fish

:hyper:

And a couple of fish

that a 12-13" fish

No wonder the "yellow lab" is large - it looks like a hybrid. The body is too deep, the face is wrong and none of the lab variants have the blue colouration in the face and fins like the one pictured.

Lovely looking tank by the way. :good:

They get big and ugley like old like that, their all like normal's when their small.

True Labidochromis Caeruleus don't get anywhere near that size, even in the wild. If your fish are in the 8-10" range, they are not yellow labs or at least not pure strain - it's that simple. :/

Take a look at the profiles here:

Those fish are not electric yellows or yellow labs, both the same fish. Mine are adults and the males is just over 4". Female is around 3".

Your fish look like they are in the HAP family and may get bigger then e-yellows.

BTW, I would get rid of the fish tank and start filling your pool up with fish :hyper:

That explains it :good:

I'm sure their true, older males do get ugly and that blue colour is not the norm it's was just a good pic on my phone.

So I'll post a vido to see is that help...

One thing it's only the males that get this large size the female will never got over 5" but your see the males are massive.... and one want some :)

I'll be going back this week and see if i can catch a male to measure.

They will not let me although I have said to try it

will post vid soon, photobuchet thinks it gonna be 22 mins yet!!!!

You seem to have missed the point helterskelter - if your fish are over 6" they are NOT yellow labs. Labs do not reach that size in any circumstances so they are either hybrids or a different species altogether.

The video you have posted does show yellow labs so after all this i'm thinking it's just your estimation of size that's way off.

To give you some comparisons, 10" is roughly the size of a young adult Oscar, a near full-grown Bala Shark or a near full-grown Clown loach. There isn't a single Mbuna species that reaches 10".

The over estimation of size may have something to do with the fact that in order for the 28 foot sheet of glass/acrylic to stay in situ it would have to be massively thick. This will lead to a massive magnification of the fish when viewing them from the front. I have also got to agree with Ferris about the the fish looking a little bit different in body shape from the norm.
