Electric Yellow Cichlid question

A question really.

Is the maximum size for this cichlid 5" because mine grew way over that. im talkin nearly double the size. but then again it had a red band down the tail.

Males can easily grow over or under and inch or so on the 5" max. However, if yours has a red band down the tale, it's either a differents species, or more likely a hybrid. No way to tell for sure w/o a pic.

no yellow lab i have seen has a red band on its tail, it must be a different species or maybe (dare i say it) a hybrid? post a pic and we can tell for sure.
