I saw these at my LFS and i was wondering what they are a mix of besides a JD. Also, how big do they get? they are really small like 1" or so. but cost like 40 bucks a pop. any help? thanks

They get to 8". I don't know what the other fish is to make them though.

I believe ebjds are a color morph... they're supposed to be less aggressive then regular jds, but also more delicate. They're kinda rare, hence the high price.

Breeding them isn't easy.. I believe you get an ebjd and spawn it with a regular jd, then out of those fry, you spawn an ebjd to a regular color jd with ebjd genes. Even then, it's hard to say how many ebjds you'll get out of that spawn if any.

you got it right, i didnt have much time to explain . they tend to be delicate because you breed and then breed back to the parent..etc. i have one that has been doing great! very cool fish.
