I am thinking of going completly Seachem ferts....the ferts i purchased are the following...

Seachem Flourish Potassium
Seachem Flourish Trace
Seachem Flourish Iron

dosing will be Trace and Iron on day 1, day 2 Potassium, day 3 Trace and Iron, day 4 Potassium, day 5 trace and iron, day 6 potassium, day 7 trace and Iron....It is a 37g tall and since dosing is pretty close in incraments, im thinking of dosing it as a 30g tank.... or as close to 37 i can guess....does anyone see any problems with this or anything i might be leaving out? Thank you for any help you can get as im hoping to maximize the plants in this tank all i can.

Should i make a day off on day 3? most of them say dose every 2-3 days...would one day break hurt?

Just curious as to why you want to completly use the Seachem ferts? The dry equivelant is about 40x cheaper!

i have never seen dry ferts here in america ever!

all they have is seachem.

i think what they meant was..you can but dry chemicals..mix them up with distilled water per a calculator..store them and dose out of your mixture instead of buying expensive pre-mixed stuff..i used greg watson(google that) and bought my nitrate and phosphate there..just mix your own up and save some cash..hth..

ooo, i see

but also i've noticed that only english people use and know about dry ferts.

I use the no3, po4 and csm+b (trace) from Greg watson. It's so cheap and lasts so long. Great to work with, and the company is fanstastic as well. They ship really fast.

well thank you all for the input and i will probably switch to dry after this stuff has run out, but the question still remains, will this regiment work until it is gone?

I haven't used those ferts before. What are the nitrate and phosphate levels of your tank now?

I was of the understanding that most trace ferts contain the others that you are using, and that's why I add nitrates and phosphates instead. hopefully someone can give you a better answer :/

HI
I've used Seachem products before on my high-tech over here in the UK. You are missing a source of P and N basically, which can be obtained by getting hold of the necessary Seachem liquids as well. Has to be said though that you will get through them pretty quick in a high tech set up, and as the others have said, dry ferts from greg watson in the States or aquaessentials in the UK will work out way cheaper in the long run. I see nothing wrong with you're dosing-it's pretty common for people to dose macros and micros on alternate days. I'd may be ease of the iron though-see how you go with Flourish. If you are only dosing Flourish Trace, you may well need the iron, as I don't think Trace has it in, whereas Flourish does (similar to Tropica MasterGrow). Have to say that I got a lot of surface scum using these products, although they seemed to work just fine for the plants.

Actually I use the Seachem products you mentioned above and that is all, no Co2, nothing fancy and during my weekly water changes I have to prune and trim to keep the gowth under control. By weeks end, its not uncommon for some to grow past the water level. A fancy set up will undoubtably produce great results, but low low tech can work great too.
