Ei Dosing

Hi all after i have planted my setup how long do i wait to start ei dosing? regards john

start dosing immediately after you have planted.

I would water change first, drain the tank to 1/3.
Plant up
Add 2/3 to fill.
Add your macros NPK
Then next day your Micros
Then alternate, with the 7th day being add nothing.

Over the next month or 2 you will work out what to increase and what to reduce (although adding the quantities in JamesC's EI pin should be perfect (but I would suggest addting Pot Sulphate (K2SO4) from the start.

People say you should get enough K from the Pot Nit (KNO3) and Pot Phos (KH2PO4) but they are minimal costs and it won't hurt your tank or fish to add more K just in case.
