Someone local has been trying to sell a new and unused one for £35ono, so I reckon I could get it for £30. (Cheapest online is £70).

Sounds perfect for me to run phosphate/carbon along side the sump (giving me more space too).


Any worries with this unit?

Well I got it, regardless of if I will use it for the marine tank - I could use it to increase my small freshwater display size by removing the rear section filter and putting this in the cabinet.


One problem though - there isn't any space in my marine cabinet for the canister. I could kind of sit it above the sump but it would just be annoying and get in the way if I wanted to get into the fuge for something.


Is there much point in running Phos+Carbon through this when I could just stick it straight in the sump anyway?
