Well i decided to spend £40 on one of these after much review searching it was 50/50 on if they were actually any good

WOW what a machine proberly the single best product i have used on my tanks

i have play sand substrate and this just picks the rubbish up without disturbing the sand

it has an inbuilt collector which didnt leech into the water during the 20 mins i used it

i really do give it 10/10

so it filters out the crud and then returns the de-crudded water back into the tank right...

essentially yes, but you'd still have to do waterchanges to lower nitrate and replace lost minerals.

Yeah completley submersible as the battery compartment is sealed by an o ring

Hanny i wont be doing the same amount of water changes if you do a quick vac everyday the levels will be far lower (well in theory and that is what im going to test)

I didn't say you didn't know how they work i was answering other peoples questions.

And yes i also know that i will carry on doing water changes it was never up for dispute.

you never said youd still be doing waterchanges, dont want someone who doesnt like waterchanges coming along, seeing this and thinking they dont have to do them anymore.

Sorry most people here know who i am and know i have some sense about me hence not posting about water changes.

If people don't like doing water changes then they should forget this as it takes more time anyway in the longrun (and fish all together)

sounds like the perfect tool for vaccing in and around my rocks. what sort of sized gaps can it get into?

well to best describe it its as thick as your fore-arm so the size is large but the suction makes up for it i was getting in between wood easily
