Eheim filters

K, I know how they function, but how can you figure out what size is decent for what sized tank? Theres ones like Eheim 2214, 2213, all that means nothing to me. Does it mean the GPH or what? If anyone knows, PLEASE HELP!

What size tank are you filtering? What will the bioload be like?

We always buy one size up for our external filters, plus we add an internal for backup. That way the tank is uber filtered and still is safe if a filter fails.
