Eheim Filter Wadding .

Hi everyone I would like some help please.Ihave just bought an Eheim Classic Filter,as recommended on this Forum.Well I cant get any White Sponges localy,so was wondering if it is ok to use the Eheim Filter Wadding instead.
Common sense tells me this will be ok,but thought i would run it past you folks first.

I found it hard to buy as well so i bought pond filter fibre. You get loads for less than a fiver and you just cut it to shape.
