eheim filter setup

I have my eheim filter set up with mechanical media, then a filter paid, then biological substrate, then filter fiber..but I also want it to remove the stain from my whater. I heard that you can add carbon to do this, but how...where would it go? Does it even work that well and would it affect filter performance?

just try to fit a pouch of carbon somewhere in the baskets

I would recommend purigen over carbon though. much more efficient and cheap in the long run

carbon sponges normally go before/after floss
(dependant on your point of view)

I would recomment you not putting in a pouch instead I would buy a carbon pad. they are safer and easier to handle. Here is a link where you can cut your own size. Hope this helps.
