Eheim Ehfimech, Waist Of Time?!

Ive had my 2213 set up for a matter of days, had a good look in there today (investigating annoying noise) and noticed my filter wool is completly riddled with fish waste?! Considering the media goes Eheim Ehfimech, Course Sponge, Substrat Pro then Filter floss I wouldnt expect any waste to get to the top! How on earth is it getting this far in such a short space of time? Surely this ehfimech is no good?

Anyone want to shed some light/share experience?

That's perfectly normal, the ehfimench is doing it's job and so is the rest of your filter. But I doubt the filter wool having fish waste in it was causing the noise in the filter...so did you find out what the noise was?

No idea what the noise was, fiddled with the impellor yesterday and so far so good. Me and my gf were just so shocked as to how all that is getting through? Whats the point having a course filter sponge if it doesnt catch course material
