Been looking at getting an external filter for my Rio 180. The internal one just doesn't seem upto the job as I have a heavily planted tank.

Have found an Eheim 2224 Ltd Edition for £89.95.

That includes the filter media, installation set 1 & 2. Is this a good deal or not?

Fabulous deal ! Go for it

Great filter !

Just noticed the 2026 including media is £103.95

Delivery is free on all items over £50

So which would be the best deal?

Also found the 2227 with Substrat Pro x 4 litre for £123.95

The choice is getting increasingly hard.

Look at Living Seas - they have some amazing deals. If you get the PKF (Practical Fish Keeping) magazine, you can get the 2227 for £99.95 if you mention the ad ;)
Just flick to the back of the magazine - they have a full 2 page add spread in there.

Does that include the filter media. Its the 2227-51 I was looking at as this includes the media.

Yep it does indeed - fully inclusive as well as P&P

Ta, thanks for letting me know. Will have to dig out my PFK when I get home.

Yep but as far as I remember they also charge a fair bit for postage - which at the moment I somehow can't see as it keeps throwing up errors :S

But pleaes correct me if I'm wrong....

Fair comment bloozoo2, I forgot about the postage.

Just ordered the Eheim 2227 including filter media for £99.95 from Living Seas.

Unbelievable price, some places had it listed as almost £60 more, and was £20 cheaper than the next cheapest I found.

Should hopefully sort my tank out now, I can see myself removing the Juwell internal completely in a few months.

Thanks folks.

Well done ! Have fun and enjoy your lovely crystal clear water :)
