Eheim 2217 Questions

Hi, i won a 2217 on ebay but the cannister is empty its just the pump part and the green canister is there and dividers that need to be in there? or do you just use the circular foam pads ive seen on eBay to divide the media types?

Also what media would you recommend? and can anyone tell me how much to put in and tips on filling it? it has no manual, the eheim media is pretty expensive but should i still use this?

You can purchase an 2217 Eheim media set which includes everything for this classic range filter

• Ehfimech x 1 litres. Removes all coarse and fine dirt particles from the water
• Substratpro x 4 litres. For quick colonisation of bacteria and faster decomposition of toxins.
• Coarse filter pad x 1. Large pore sponge giving bio-mechanical filtration and even water flow-through.
• Fine filtration x 1. Before the water re-enters your aquarium fine dirt particles are trapped in the fine filter pad

Thanks alot, i seem to be missing the two grilles that go inside the canister i will have to have a look on ebay.
