I have a new Pro Eheim filter with the heater built in. Very nice, super quite and efficinet filter. Having the heater built in is great. What I am having problems with is the heater.
Bear in mind it may not be the heater it may be me.
The thermostat has a digital reading and appears very accurate. It also has a centagrade scale and I want the temp to be 26C.
When doing my initial setup I set it at 26c on the scale. The tank was slightly above that so naturally I did not expect it to run and it didn't. This morning it was about 1 degree F below where I wanted it so I moved the dial up and I saw the heater come on when I had the dial up to 28C. It stayed on as I lowered the dial until about the 27C mark. Then it went off. I know some of these scales can be well off the mark as only a guide. I then turned it slightly up from that mark and it has remained off, not attempting to raise it any. Should I move it back up till it starts and then barely move it down or what.
