Hello,

Can anybody explain why my filter only leaks for a couple of minutes when it is first turned on, but then stops leaking & runs perfectly until the next time I turn it off /back on?

It is always at the back side of the filter head & like I say only for a couple of minutes probably trickling 2 pints worth out in the process.

Any advise appreciated..

you may have a small crack/hole in the seal.
try replacing the seal and see if that makes a difference,
they are only a few quid so not an expensive option.

Ok thanks - seen you can get a replacement gasket seal.

Lets hope thats all it is.

:good:

In the area it's leaking just skim a little over the gasket and then close.

That should be enough.

that will however be a temporary solution though

Ok thanks guys :good:

I'm jumping the gun here a little - but if I do replace the gasket seal & it still leaks what other reason could it be? Or will it definately be the gasket?
