Hi all

Want you to have a look at my pictures of some egg clusters layed in my tank there are loads of eggs about Ø2mm stuck to the glass. Who lay-ed them.....?

I removed a cluster of around 15-20 last week but have decided to leave these.

I came down the other morning and noticed about 10-15 eggs on the face of the tank on the glass, after looking around for more found another 2 clusters on the support brace of the tank.
In all they are approx 50-60 eggs all lay-ed in the main flow of the pump jet filter, I take that it is to oxygenate the eggs. They are no were else in the tank
I think they maybe assassin snail eggs but not sure thought they where hard to breed and for the shear volume of eggs layed....! :hyper:

Not sure what to do if they are assassin snails for the reason to sell them on, I would like to remove them and place them in a breeding pen that I hang from the top of the tank.

Saying that not sure at what stage to do this....... will see like to confirm what they are first...! :good:

Many thanks

Thanks for looking

Ii would say that they are assassin snail eggs as well. Most snail eggs are super sticky and are laid in clusters. Since they are so sticky, I'm not sure how you would move them without damaging them.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge could lend you a hand in a bit. Where you located? I'd buy one or 2 of them from you to get rid of the mass numbers of pond snails in my 10g. :p

look like cory eggs to me but then i dunno what the snail eggs look like

I'd also say cory eggs. In my experience, snail eggs are always in a big blob, not separate, and they look like cory eggs to me. probably the albino and commons (if they are also bronze, as albino are normally C. aeneus as well).

cheers :good:

I do stand corrected. Surfed around a bit and I give a +1 to Cory eggs. They are larger than assassin snail eggs.

Has i said on your other thread, looks like cory eggs :) Snails eggs tend to be in a jelly like substance.

If you want to save them because they will get eaten, roll them onto your finger gently and put them in some tank water in a tub with an airstone and float inside your tank.(may be a good idea to secure it) they will hatch in around 3-5 days dependant on tank temperature,if they start going white/fungal then remove these

Good luck :good:

May thanks will give it a go.....! :good:

Thanks for the advice. will place out come in a few days time.
