I just got home from cinema and my filter looks to be covered in egss, my angel fish is guarding them chasing other fish away, even the smaller angel fish. Wasn't expecting this so can someone give me some advice. :hyper:
Its in my 180L tank, 2 x Angel fish, 7 cardinal tetras, 3 rummy nose, 6 silver tip tetras, 1 yellow panchax, 1 otto, 3 mollies.

how big is the "smaller" angel? if it's sexually immature then you've got a lonely female putting eggs...which means they'll go bad within a couple of days. if the other angel is old enough and the eggs were fertilized, then unless you remove all other fish the eggs will most likely get eaten. in either situation, i would recommend just destroying the eggs. within a couple of hours the angels will start to relax and get back to normal. just scrub them off with your thumb or a brush, the fish will eat them and that'll be the end of it :good:

My male angel is the same age as the female just hasn't grown. I've done alot of research and you need a big tank and alot of time, so I think the best solution is to scrub them off.

I put the eggs in a floating thing made for babys and a air stone. They hatched and now look like they are eating what's left of there eggs.
