Eggs (now My Spawn Log)!

So, put the female in this morning and plan to take her out about ten to twelve, put her back in the chimney and then put her back in the tank to spawn after about nine hours. Apparently, this works!

When the male eventually finds her hiding in the bushes, he circles her and flares and she is fine but then he sort of pecks her and she goes zooming off to find another hiding place. Is this normal?

Yes that's normal. Mine chased her all over the place but wasn't nipping her that much so I just left them together for the whole time. It took about 15hrs before they started spawning. I've heard that the method you are planning works so good luck
