Hi

My Harlequin's bred recently but we didn't notice anything until my daughter spotted 2 tiny baby fish hiding at the back of my biube. I bought a breeding net on the way home from work and popped them in. They were tiny but you could still tell they were Harlequins (but probably because it was them or the ottos because that's all I have in there!)

Apparently the eggs hatch really quickly and they like to lay them on the underside of big leaves. I had to buy a baby brine shrimp hatcher too. Made me laugh when I realised I'd spent the best part of £20 keeping alive 2 fish that would've cost me £2.50 total to buy fully grown in the shop. It's been lovely watching them grow though.

Wasn't planning on getting any more fish but couldn't possibly give them away after all we've gone through so I now have 8 harlequins!
