Will common brown-green algae on the breeding slate in a well established 50 longtank harm any future angel eggs on the slate?

Nope, the parents would clean the slate first anywhos.

Try wiping the slate just so the angels have a reduced chance of hurting thier mouths while cleaning it. If its solid algae then they may not be able to get it off.

I have found that wiping algae makes it multiply by 3 a week later.

What makes algae is usually direct sunlight, high lighting, and poor maintainence.
