Well, this is my smallest female Cockatoo's second laying (3rd batch for the male). There's not as many eggs this time, but I sure hope they make it. When I looked in the cave I saw a snail by the eggs and killed it. The eggs are a pinkish color, same as all the other batches in the tank, I'm hoping this is a normal color. I've heard they can take up to 10 days before hatching, and I just noticed them yesterday. Do the eggs need mom to survive? If these don't make it in the tank, then the next batch will get put in another tank. I've got my fingers crossed.

You may want to have an airstone near them (not on them) and if you already separated them from the mother, don't put them back because she may not recognize them and eat them.

No, it should take 3-4 days to hatch, and then 3-4 to become free swimming, and yes, pinkish eggs means there fertile. If you do seperate form the mom, i would buy some Metheylene Blue as it will kill the fungus that will grow on the eggs if not added, or you can add a air sotne and hope that works. Both together is a great combination. What size tank are they in? Do you have any pictures?

They're still in the comunity tank (30 gal, US). I'll ask my boyfriend to pick some Metheylene Blue up at the fish store while he's out and also have him pick up an air stone, I've already got an air bubble thingy, but it needs a new stone. Thanks for your help.
