Egg Porblems

I just had my first spawning yesterday and ive got some problems. My male isnt building up the bubble nest to keep the eggs afloat it wnt from about 2" accross to 1/2" across. Is there anything i can do to keep them alive? or anything that will help the male realize he needs to keep them up there? thanks in advance

You don't need to have a big nest to hold the eggs but if they are laying on the bottom of the tank, you can syphon them up into a shallow tub with about an inch of the tank water. Then float it in the tank to keep warm and keep your fingers crossed that they hatch. It's pretty hit and miss.....we've had one batch where only one hatched and another where about 70 hatched.
