I have a very near to burst female...I would say she is egg bound. Whats the best way to tackle that problem? I saw some time ago on the forum someone else had the same problem but I can't remember what solution was given. :/

Ok I have found the post that gives advice for this particular problem so no need to reply. If anyone has a problem like this in the future or any new comers look at the post dated 9/7/2010. :good:

hi i had this problem but didnt manage to solve it. she died in the end. i was given some advice from kg bettas wich was to leave her in a tank with no food and lights turned off in the hope she would reabsorn or release some eggs to eat. or breed her successfully.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Sometimes its better to seek a few opinions first before deciding which is the best way to tackle it. I know its hard, what works for some doesn't always mean it will work for you.
