Eeek Didnt Notice The Filters And Pumps Were Off.......

just realised someone (most likely my 2 yr old) has switched off the power extension that supplies my three main tanks power (the 480L, the 180L and the turtle/platy/crayfish tank)
now i know it was definatly on this morning at 9am when i fed the fish last.

so it could have been off anywhere between 1 hour to 7 hours, eek!


after how long do the bacteria die in the filters without water being pumped through?? or will they be ok as they were still actually in the water. will the be any other effects that i should look out for???

You should be OK, as long as the media was still in the water. You probably had some bacteria die off, but I don't think it will be a problem. Just keep an eye on the readings, just in case! God bless two year olds...I remember it well!!!
