I finally got my new 75 gallon tank set up and filled. I decided to go with the Eco Complete Planted Aquarium for the substrate. I could only find 4 bags so I put that on the bottom and then put 2 bags of the CaribSea Tahitian Moon Sand on top of it (I know the finer sand will eventually work it's way to the bottom). They look great and there is no cloudy water. The Eco Complete does not have to be washed but the moon sand does. Washing was a breeze though as what little dust there is washes right out. It only took me about 20 minutes to rinse 40 lb. Also, when we filled it up, there was no cloudy water. Any sand that was disturbed, settled right back to the bottom. Even when we went back and smoothed out the uneven spots with our hands, still no cloudiness. Now all I need is my plants and I will be set. Only time will tell how plants grow in it.
