eating algae fish= Black Molly

that Black Mollies are good algae eaters, so, does any other type of mollies are algae eaters?? or just them, I mean, they seem pretty much like any other lyretail molly

any molly will eat algae as part of its diet, but it will always prefer flake. unless you include some no-food days in your feeding schedule, don't expect too much in the way of algae eating.

not just mollys, almost all livebearing fish are known to include alge in their diets, not enough to keep ur tank spotless, they still prefer flake food, but a little green is good for them

You also have to remember that mollys/other livebearers won't eat all types of algae and there are many types of algae, so you have to indentify what type of algae you have to figure out wether your livebearer is actually going to eat it.

I don't have an algae problem at the moment, I was mainly wondering about this in case some appeared, I feed them cucumber once in a while so they won't even eat algae if I had anyway
