when a mommy mollie gives birth to her young after that do they eat there young strate away or do they still go through a 12 hour hormone thingy of not eating a thing

I've noticed mine to always eat after or wile giving birth. They act as if I've never fed them for a week even though I feed the fish 4-5 times a day.

my dalmation molly just had fry 3 days ago, she was VERY hungry while she was having them, she was chasing the fry trying to eat them, so i had to constantly feed her in order for her to not chase the babies and eat them
