Is there any difference between easycarbo and flourish excel, or are they just the same product by different brands?

Anyone used both and prefer one over the other? Which is the most cost-effective in terms of £/ml and then also in terms of dosing ml/gallon?

There essentially the same product. Carbon source to replace co2 as best as possible. Certain people have mentioned having plants dislike one or the other. I personally have never seen this?.

The cheaper option would be aqua essentials own branded stuff... basically it is the same as easy carbo but far cheaper :)

i use the AE own brand stuff and not noticed any plant problems either, quite the opposite. I dose it in my shrimp nursery tank which has riccia carpets, it all seems to be flourishing. :)

Nice, where do you buy you AE own-brand from? do they have a website? EDIT: of course they do. This? http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/ae-design-aqua-carbon-250ml-p-2986.html

Do you use it coupled with TPN+ etc?

yeh, although I bought the AE Design Aqua Nourish Set, it was the cheapest I could find. If you got TPN+ and some sort of carbon it'd be one less bottle to dose from and do the same thing. my tanks are only 15 & 35L so making up dry ferts is a bit OTT just now.

Haha yeah i see what you mean!

I just upgraded to a 56L and so my TPN+ and Flourish Excel are suddenly being used a lot quicker, hence after some cheaper options.

Think i'll AE own-brand and dry-fert it, thanks!
