I'm looking for plants that are very easy to grow - plants that will grow in literally any heated water and under any light. I need a mixture of short and tall plants.

I know moss is a definate option but I need more.

hygrophilla polysperma and ruba
Java Fern
Bolbitis
Vallis

they should tolerate low light but will die if they don't get any.

elodea is an option, can grow in any condidtions, hornwart is also fast growing and can grow in low lighting.

Thanks! Is egeria densa an easy plant that could thrive in any conditions?

Defo!! I got 1 free peice about 6", about 1.5yrs it went through coldwater got 6x6" square of it after 2month then into tropical for just under year got about 12x20" of it then itno my existng tank (high tec) chuck loads out every week. Those figures i gave you were just ground coverage and they grow up so imagine all that i have chucked! Last week i must of chucked about £5 worth!

Wow, cool! Just what I'm looking for.

I'm going to buy egeria densa and vallis. What plants would go nice with those? Some smaller ones would be nice.

OK, so now I'm getting:

- Vallis
- Java fern
- Jave moss (maybe)
- Egeria densa
- Amazon sword
- Nymphea tiger lotus

Is this enough to fill my 35L? I can move some to my 70L if they get too big.

Thoughts?

whats the dimensions? you will need 2WPG give or take to grow tiger lotus although i am not sure about the green variety.

The dimensions of my tank are approximately:

Length: 40cm
Width - 20cm
Height - 30cm

The tank I will put them in if they grow too large is:

Length - 60cm
Width - 30cm
Height - 40cm

I'd advise against the amazon swords for your tanks hieght - I have mine in a 15 inch high (70L) tank and they're so tall the leaves spread out across the surface of the water. It's gotten to the point where they've become too big for the tank and I'm going to have to remove them (probably throwing them away) :(
