amazon sword plants have worked realy well for me, get a few big ones, they have nice big leaves and they grow fast.

depends how big your tank is... I got some of that amazon sword and it outgrew my tank in a matter of weeks(i only have a 15 gallon)

I've found that most of the plants you see will be fine, provided you have good lighting with correct amounts of blue/red spectrum for the plants

anto culdnt u just trim them down? i mean take cuts off so they carry on being te right size?

well most plants you can, but not this plant it is very atractive though, usaly they behave if you have low lighting (like the standard 15 watt light strip) or any incondcent lighting, they never got very big in my 20 gallon, however if you have realy good lighting something like this could happen

heres a realy good plant that many people have had succes with its quite attractive and it can easily be trimmed

Hi Greg, Great to see you're going planted! George Farmer put a list I made in another thread up in the pinned section. I'm very flattered, thanks George. Here's a link to the list. All of these plants will do well with at least 1 WPG, possibly even less, but not much less, no CO2, minimal ferts (rootabs for the root-feeding plants).

I agree with Sam, that is a monster Amazon sword Karin!

Java fern seems to work well for me. They are tough enough to stand against fish nibbles, water changes, bad lighting, etc. They'll sprout little'ns when you're not looking. :)
